Background
Coca-Cola was launching their new Orange Cream flavor at Walmart, and my team was tasked with a big, creative way to drive trial and secure pre-orders. We had to find a way to break through the noise, and build off their established “Scream for Orange Cream” national campaign.
Execution
We built a custom, voice-activated mobile game that had people literally screaming for Coca-Cola Orange Cream! Speaking the product name into their phone triggered the jump action of the truck they controlled in the game — and kept the flavor top-of-mind for repeat purchase.
By playing, shoppers unlocked a free 20-oz bottle (and other prizes) as a low-stakes way to try the new flavor. We linked directly to Walmart’s pre-order, and worked with influencers to seed the experience and drive traffic.
